Dressed for Success ~ Companies Sign on to Support The Lakers in '07

A number of companies and organizations have aligned themselves in support of the Boys' Latin Golf Team in 2007. Their willingness to do so has assisted greatly in the Program's ability to continue its expansion and development efforts this season. The Lakers will certainly find themselves in a fortunate position in 2007 - as the Team's uniform and product distribution will take an unprescidented stance.

This season finds Titleist, Taylor Made, Adidas, Robert Bryan Limited, Joseph A. Bank, Zero Restriction, The United States Golf Association and The PGA of America all offering support to the Laker Golf Team. Their willingness to offer product access has permitted the Team to expand in remarkable proportions in 2007.

For their contributions, these companies deserve special recognition:

Robert Bryan Ltd was gracious to align itself with the Laker Golf Team in 2007. Manufacturing some of golf's finest high end clothing, Robert Bryan Lts is based in Port Royal, Virginia. Oftentimes found in the Country's finest Golf Shops, Robert Bryan has established itself as one of the sharpest and most stylish brands in the industry. 2007 will find the Lakers wearing Robert Bryan golf shirts thanks to the company's generosity and hospitality. The shirts are manufactured with a pique weave, boast open sleeves and are decorated with a maroon & khaki stripe. They will also carry the Boys' Latin logo on the garment's left chest. The boys will look sharp indeed thanks to Robert Bryan Ltd.

Titleist, a brand synonomous with golf excellence, has taken a stance of support for the Boys' Latin Golf Team in 2007. The shoulders of the varsity squad will bear the comfort of the company's new X-76 stand bag this season. The Lakers are indeed truly fortunate to have the backing of the game's most recognizable brand in 2007; and will walk the fairways in comfort and style thanks to Titleist's support.

Speaking of comfort and style, Joseph A Bank has also aligned itself to assist the Lakers this season. In taking a stance of generosity, Baltimore's favorite clothier will be the provider of custom-fitted microfiber and poplin slacks for varsity team members in 2007. Each team member will receive two pairs of slacks, and will be well suited for pants this season thanks to Joseph A. Bank. Special gratitude is due to Mr. Neil Howard, store manager of the company's Hunt Valley Towne Cetner location, for his above-and-beyond service and hospitality.

Taylor Made & Adidas have also anchored an interest in the Lakers this season. The golf industry giants have aligned themselves with Boys' Latin Golf Team in 2007 and have been gracious enough to provide significant savings on products within their respective lines. The Laker Varsity Squad will stride the fairways in increased comfort this season while wearing the Adidas TechFeather Golf Shoe. Waterproof and versatile, the TechFeather boasts a stylish design that the Lakers will no doubt appreciate in 2007.

Zero Restriction, maker of the golf industry's finest all-weather gear, has supported the Lakers for the past three seasons. 2007 will find the company extending its generosity again in order to ensure the Varsity Squad Members remain dry during their Spring Match schedule - which oftentimes finds them battling it out on the links during inclement weather. Thanks to Zero Restriction, members of the Varsity Squad will receive a GoreTex Rain Jacket and Rain Pants - complete with the company's trademark telescopic cuffs and expandable shoulder and back flaps. The Lakers are fortunate to have such a generous partner in Zero Restriction, and remain grateful for the company's dedication to the Team's success. Special recognition and gratitude is due to Zero Restriction Representative Mr. Mike Pifer, for his time and service to the team and his committment to the Lakers' growth over the past few seasons.

The United States Golf Association (USGA) has graciously provided assistance in an effort to educate the Lakers regarding the Rules of Golf in 2007. In providing significant savings to the Team, the USGA was able to aid in providing copies of the Rules of Golf to all team members this season.

The Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) of America is currently working with the Lakers to provide headwear for the team in 2007. Thanks is due in advance for their efforts to assist and their committment to growing the game of golf at Boys' Latin.

In addition, dontations to support the Team's success in 2007 were secured by the following companies: Smith Barney, UBS, Dreyfus Investments, Columbia Marsico Investment Management, Fidelity Advisor Funds, Phoenix Investments, AIM Investments, Ivy Funds, Touchstone Investments, Eaton Vance Investments, Lord Abbett Funds, Powershares, Mainstay Investments, Blackrock Investments, and MFS Funds. In all, an estimated 50 dozen golf balls, 24 umbrellas, 12 duffle bags, 12 notebooks, 15 insulated long sleeve shirts, and 15 windvests have been donated to the team this season - due in large part to the generosity of these companies.

Support is also being found in the Boys' Latin Athletic Department. Athletic Director, Mr. Michael Thomas has raised the bar of support for the Laker Golf Team this season and has gone above-and-beyond in his effort to fuel the growth of the Team in 2007. As humbled as the Team is to receive support from outside the school, it's honored most when recognition comes from within. Thanks to Mr. Thomas for his dedication to the Team's progress - and his conviction for Laker achievement on and off the course.

Most certainly, the Lakers will be well-outfitted this season. With new bags, shoes, pants, shirts, hats, and much more, the Team has birthed a new style. That style has produced a quiet confidence for the Boys' Latin Golf Team - and that confidence is laying the foundation for victory.
